Salvation

She used to play in summer sand,

A plastic shovel in her hand.

She’d dig for treasures on that land,

Feeling safe and free.

In time she wondered if the sea

Could offer something fresh and free.

At first the waves were fun, but she

Found the tide too strong.

She didn’t stay afloat for long;

She needed someone sure and strong.

She couldn’t save herself; along

Came the One who could.

He saved her life, and now she would

 Continue digging so she could

Show her love. She’d bring

Treasures to her King.
