When
Winter Comes
In May a spray of snow entombs the yard.
How surreal, this scene of green
Transformed to white! A glacial gust
proclaims
What this sudden change must mean:
Sometimes winter comes in spring.
So offer flowers while time allows;
God supplies each fragrant bloom.
A grateful heart would never plan to wave
Wilted life near winter’s tomb. …
Sometimes winter comes in spring.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while
the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no
pleasure in them” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
Beautiful!
