The Chore War

I shrink to think about the sink

Full of dishes floating in grease.

But then again, I know that when

I ignore a chore there’s no peace.

So here I go to fight my foe—

No more wasting minutes for me!

I’ll win the war against my chore—

Working with a will is the key.
