At age sixteen, I met somebody who quickly became a close
friend. And for the next sixteen years, we talked often. But we both moved
occasionally; for me that eventually meant moving to a different state. Yet
every once in a while the phone would ring and we would reconnect. Recently I
searched my friend’s name online; instead of an address, I found an obituary.
At first I bemoaned that never again would we be able to
reconnect, but then I remembered that someday we will. One of the many
beautiful things about being brothers and sisters in Christ is that one of
these days, we shall reconnect.

That was so very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmen! And that will be a richer connection than we can ever find on earth!
